Preamble

The ERT Working Group has been defining two new RDF schema: EARL and HTTP-in-RDF

I have an interest in both schema, but especially HTTP-in-RDF as I am utilizing it as my persistence format in my REST framework.

Known Issues

I have been providing my opinion of the HTTP Vocabulary in RDF W3C Working Draft since late in 2006.

As the draft heads towards finalization, some of my comments have been included in the current issues being debated. I have to say that although I am not a part of the editorial team, participating in the drafting process of a public standard feels very good. I hope that what I have to say brings value to the working group.

I wrapped my observations up in an email to the working group list: HTTP-in-RDF Equivalence

My principal concern, aside from formatting details, is that the working draft is over-complicating the representation of message headers - especially the proposed system of decomposition.
