Making sure that you have a robust backup is something that is often not considered until it is too late. Scott Hanselman blogged about the 'family backup' that he has implemented. I have to admit that at the moment, my family are walking a tightrope without a safety net and I really should do something similar for them.
I do, however, have a backup strategy for myself and I thought that I would share it with you.
Like Scott, my ultimate backup is Mozy. Actually, I have to use Mozy Pro because my server runs Windows Server 2003.
The difference is that because I am virtually always connected via a wide link, I use FolderShare to synchronize my various machines; desktops and laptops.
With this model, it is very easy to 'plug-in' a new box using FolderShare - so when I manage to convince my parents to move to broadband, I'll add them too.
